Giving Back Program Opportunities
The "Collaborating for Good Health" Giving Back Program exclusively funds organizations that are classified as tax exempt under Section 501(c)(3) and serve older Americans.
Universal American supports initiatives that will test, apply or disseminate new practices, or evaluate programs designed to improve health and healthcare. We will consider funding research and policy projects if they positively impact the healthcare of older Americans.
The number and size of grants depend on the quantity and quality of applications we receive. Grants will not necessarily be distributed equally across programs or locations, nor will full amounts requested necessarily be awarded. Grants include 15% indirect costs. Requests may not exceed $50,000 for one year though most are in the $5,000 to $10,000 range.
The Giving Back Program will consider national and regional proposals in key geographic areas.
Grantees for 2011 will be determined during the summer and fall of 2010. Please look back at this Web site for information on eligibility, how to apply and application due dates.
